There are at least a few good things about Melbourne’s blasted winter. ‘Tis the season for mulled mine, hot buttered rum and fireside sip sessions. And truffles! Stokebar have exclusively shared their recipe for the luxurious cocktail below, for those of you with sophisticated tastes. It’s brimming with the earthy flavours of fig, mezcal and truffle and would be justly paired with a rich, steaming pudding on a midwinter’s eve.
– Truffle Fig Cocktail by Stokebar –
– Ingredients –
25ml Pot & Still Fig Gin
25ml White Possum’s Forager 1 Aperitif (hurry, there’s only a limited amount)
10ml mezcal (like Del Maguey’s Vida)
10ml lemon juice
10ml sugar
10ml truffle syrup
dried fig or pear, to garnish
– Method –
Shake all the ingredients together. Strain into a short rocks glass with ice. Garnish with your choice of dried fruit.
