About Sarah

Welcome to Melbourne’s 1st craft spirits, cocktail culture & bar blog!

I love Australian spirits makers & drink shakers.

I don’t love plastic straws. Or any fewer than 3 olives in a martini.

DrinkMelbourne is all about slow drinking; the sip, not the skull.

Copywriting for Bars, Distillers & the Spirited Industries

By day, I’m a Melbourne copywriter and content creator specialising in Australian bars, distilleries, cocktail culture and craft spirits. I write:

  • press releases & media kits
  • staff & venue bios or profiles
  • website copy
  • pre-event promotional copy
  • content & features for custom digital or print publications
  • articles & blogs
  • e-newsletters & emails
  • brochures & function kits
  • menus & product descriptions
  • social media content

I also edit, proofread or polish your existing versions of all of the the above. There will be no stray apostrophes in “martinis” on my watch!

Other services I provide include live social media management or takeovers for events and provision of industry social media contact lists.

Let’s chat about what you need, over a drink sometime; sarah@drinkmelbourne.com.au.

  1. Hi there,

Just a query at this stage – We have about 30-40 people having drinks this thursday night after work, would you be able to hold a space for us?

    Thanks for your help

  2. Hi Kim – DrinkMelbourne is a website about bars! In fact this is the “About Us” page which explains that pretty clearly I thought.

You’re all more than welcome to cram into my house but you’ll have to BYO (both booze and chairs). ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Hi Sarah,

I’m new to Melbourne and have been looking for great BYO spots. Your last post is from March — is the house still open?

I have a few chairs, a bottle of Glenmorangie Quinta Rubin and Game on Thrones season five on USB. Please advise.

  4. Hello Drink Melbourne

  5. Hi Miguel – I tend to leave the fancy stuff to the pros ๐Ÿ˜‰

But you could try molecularfoods.com.au and for more general tools cocktailkingdomaustralia.com

Good luck – would love to see photos of your creations!
