Frenchy from Grease almost had it right; “The only man a girl can depend on is her daddy”. But we can also depend on Joe to serve up a southern fried feast for Father’s Day (you didn’t forget did you?). Joe’s Bar & Dining Hall has invited guest chef Andrew Blake to design a pop-up menu for this Sunday only. I hear kingfish tacos with lime, salsa verde and chipotle mayo, sesame-crusted tuna steak burgers and smoked baby back ribs with applewood and a Texas mop sauce will all be on the grill. Could your dad resist a hokey-pokey ice-cream sandwich made with choc chip cookies for dessert? I, of course, recommend their most manly cocktail the New York Sour (rye whiskey, lemon, egg whites, cabernet merlot)
Thanks to Joe’s Bar and Dining Hall I have a $100 voucher to give away to one lucky reader so you can treat your Pa this Fathers Day. All you have to do to win it is;
