While the emergence of mulled cider is taking some of the limelight there’s a few of us who are still searching for the classic warming Winter drink; Mulled Wine. I tend to make it myself adding a bit of sweetness, a little citrus, a splash of suitable fortification and whatever spices I feel like, but I do stumble across the common question; “Where to find mulled wine in Melbourne?” So I thought I’d compile a list of places to start your hunt.
Whispers of the presence of the heady brew have been heard recently at the following Melbourne bars;
Rue Bebelons – Melbourne
The Alchemist – Fitzroy
Speakeasy – South Yarra
Boatbuilders Yard – South Wharf

Madame Brussels – Melbourne
Claypots – St Kilda & South Melbourne

Temperance Hotel – South Yarra
Rhone Wine & Tapas – Albert Park
The Wilde – Fitroy
99 problems – Collingwood
