This here is one of those now-obvious ‘how come it took us so long?’ ideas. There’s very little that can improve upon a good tipple; the exception being a side of decent cheese. As a licensed fromagerie, Milk the Cow is all about the simple pleasure of drinking vino with one hand and scoffing the (brilliant selection of) cheesy stuff with the other. Moving beyond wine, they endorse matching cheese with the less usual spirits and cocktails, the latter of which I must try next. Amid faux grass and nods to milk-machine styling (check out the lighting), exuberant cheese-monger Laura Lown happily rattles off flavours and regions and cheese-making methodologies, making we savoury-toothed folk fall in love with fromage even more.
Do I really need to sell the concept? I could have simply typed ‘Cheese. Wine. Cocktails. Go.’ and you all should have been on board. Never trust anybody who doesn’t have a weakness for a good slice of brie.
